Assalamu Alaikum,
We all have plans. Timelines we carefully map out. Outcomes we quietly expect. Futures we try to control.
And then… things don’t go the way we planned.
A delay. A setback. A door that closes.
That’s where tawakkul begins.
Not when life is smooth, but when it isn’t.
Tawakkul is not about having everything figured out.
It’s about trusting that Allah already has.
Today’s brew is about letting go of control and holding firmly onto trust in Allah.
📖 Quran Reflection
“And He provides for him from (sources) he never could imagine. And if any one puts his trust in Allah, sufficient is (Allah) for him. For Allah will surely accomplish his purpose: verily, for all things has Allah appointed a due proportion.”
— Surah At-Talaq (65:3)
This verse is a promise.
Not that life will be easy.
Not that things will go exactly how you want.
But that Allah will be enough for you.
When you truly rely on Him, you stop measuring outcomes by your expectations and start trusting His wisdom.
And Allah is never insufficient for His servants.
🕌 Hadith of the Day
Anas bin Malik narrated that a man said:
"O Messenger of Allah! Shall I tie it and rely(upon Allah), or leave it loose and rely(upon Allah)?" He said: "Tie it and rely(upon Allah)."
— Reported in Jami` at-Tirmidhi (Hadith 2517)
This hadith teaches a powerful balance:
Take action
Then trust Allah with the results
Tawakkul is not passive.
It’s doing your part, while knowing the outcome is in Allah’s hands.

💡 Quick Islamic Wisdom
Tawakkul is not believing that things will go your way.
It is believing that Allah’s way is better than yours.
🤲 Dua of the Day
Here is a a powerful tawakkul (trust in Allah) dua from the Quran
"Our Lord, upon You we have relied, and to You we have returned, and to You is the destination"
— Surah Al-Mumtahanah (60:4)
A powerful du’a for reliance on Allah:
HasbiyaAllahu la ilaha illa Huwa, ‘alayhi tawakkaltu, wa Huwa Rabbul-‘Arshil-‘Azim.
“Allah is sufficient for me. There is no deity except Him. In Him I place my trust, and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne.”
— Surah At-Tawbah (9:129)
Say it with conviction. Mean it when you say it.
Final Sip ☕
You won’t always understand what Allah is doing in your life.
But you don’t need to.
Because tawakkul isn’t about understanding the plan,
it’s about trusting the Planner.
So take the step. Make the effort. Say the du’a.
And then let your heart rest.
Allah is already in control.
Until tomorrow,
Stay steadfast on the Straight Path.
